[public-cloud-sig] Debian Cloud Sprint
Just a heads-up, there was a suggestion[*] on the debian-cloud mailing list that it would be nice if some representatives from public OpenStack service providers are able to attend/participate in the upcoming Debian Cloud Sprint[**], October 14-16 on MIT campus in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA. I too think it would be awesome for OpenStack to have a seat at the table alongside representatives of the usual closed-source clouds when it comes time to talk about (among other things) what Debian's official "cloud" image builds should be doing to better support our collective users. If you're interested in going, I recommend reaching out via the debian-cloud mailing list[***].

Hi All,
I'm hosting this shindig but it's also my first time participating so can't shine too much more light on how they got , but do have a couple URLs to add:
https://wiki.debian.org/Sprints/2019/DebianCloud2019
is the planning page. Currently a bit skeletal but does have links to past sprints:
https://wiki.debian.org/Sprints/2018/DebianCloudOct2018 https://wiki.debian.org/Sprints/2017/DebianCloudOct2017 https://wiki.debian.org/Sprints/2016/DebianCloudNov2016
Hopefully that can give some sense of scope and function of these things.
Hope to see some of you in Oct.

Good suggestion! Personally I can't attend but I'll make sure that we bring it up on our upcoming meeting.
Cheers, Tobias
