Hi Team, Please let me know the steps to create a read only user in openstack. (My version is Rocky) Regards, Dhanesh M.
hi Dhanesh. At least in Newton you had to create a new role, and create a new policy.json for each service (nova, neutron, glance, and so on) for that role, and assign user to that group. but in Queens , I saw it was looking like working, and itm ight have something like that by default (I mean role). As far as I know, the support for a read only user is not complete in Queens or Rocky. http://lists.openstack.org/pipermail/openstack-discuss/2020-September/017556... On Sat, Dec 5, 2020 at 12:16 PM Ruslanas Gžibovskis <ruslanas@lpic.lt> wrote:

I believe that's correct, you have to configure it on your own as Ruslanas suggested. You can see if this helps: https://docs.openstack.org/cinder/latest/configuration/block-storage/policy-...
