[ops][largescale-sig] Refactoring Ops-related activities - a discussion at the PTG
Hi everyone, A quick reminder that we'll have a session at 13:00UTC today in the PTG on how we can regroup the operators-facing activities between our various groups: the Ops meetup group, the Large Scale SIG, the Public Cloud SIG, the Scientific SIG... Join us if you can! -- Thierry Carrez (ttx)
Unfortunately I was not available for the PTG. However I think it's a great idea to group ops activities together. From what I can read on Ops Radio recap, we agreed to join the force there. @Thierry, does it mean our next Large Scale meeting is going to be cancelled? Yes, sorry I did not write a summary from the discussion. There was interest in consolidating activities, and as a first step we agreed to drop our separate Large Scale SIG meeting to join the Ops Radio Hour instead. I will remove our meeting from the agenda and push documentation changes to redirect to the Ops Radio Hour instead. We can have any discussion we planned to have at the Large Scale SIG meeting at the Ops Radio Hour instead -- just add a topic to the etherpad at: https://etherpad.opendev.org/p/openstack_ops_radiohour At this point the OpenStack Large Scale SIG will still exist, but if we end up rebranding the "Ops Meetup" group into an "Operators SIG" in the future for additional visibility, I'd recommend dissolving the Large Scale SIG in it as well. -- Thierry Carrez (ttx)
