Hi We have a juju openstack installation and we are finding that when we delete servers the associated volume doesnt get deleted. The volume stays as showing attached to a non existent server instance. We are having to marked them as not attached in the database and then the volume delete works. Any ideas what could be wrong here? Thanks Russell
Hi, what openstack version are you running? Did you recently upgrade? It could be the service token issue as pointed out by Gorka in this thread [1]. If it's not that, please provide more details like nova-compute.log, preferrably in debug mode as well as cinder logs, what your storage backend is etc. Is this a new issue, are all instances/volumes affected or only some of them?
