Hi, Could you please help me how can I upgrade from Openstack Rocky version to Train. Thanks & B'Rgds, Rony
Hi Rony, It usually depends on OpenStack distribution you used to deploy Rocky. Please note the recommended approach is to first upgrade to the next release, which is Stein, and then to Train. -yoctozepto niedz., 29 gru 2019 o 11:23 Md. Farhad Hasan Khan <rony.khan@brilliant.com.bd> napisał(a):

Hi Radoslaw, Thanks for your suggestion. To upgrade from Rocky to Stein is there any documents or process to do, or simply YUM update with stein release will work. If you have any docs please provide me. Hi Rony, If you are not using any deployment tools, then it might be a little painful to do upgrades. Please see https://docs.openstack.org/operations-guide/ops-upgrades.html for general notes. IMHO, the most painful point in your path would be to switch from nova placement to standalone placement: https://docs.openstack.org/placement/train/admin/upgrade-to-stein.html -yoctozepto pon., 30 gru 2019 o 08:48 Md. Why? When there are several deployment and configuration management tools available, why deploy everything manually? Was it an educational exercise? I understand that, but not really for a production deployment which needs to eventually be upgraded. -- Thanks, Matt
