Hello zorillas, stable branch maintainers and operators, We've kept stable/queens and stable/rocky branches of manila, python-manilaclient and manila-ui around under extended maintenance for a while now. The coordinated Queens release was 2018-02-28 and the Rocky release was 2018-08-30. The last time a change was backported to these branches has been a while: - manila stable/queens: Jan 20, 2021 stable/rocky: Jan 18, 2021 - python-manilaclient stable/queens: Jul 6, 2021 (Oct 14, 2020 before that) stable/rocky: Oct 13, 2020 - manila-ui stable/queens: Jul 16, 2020 (already EOL'ed, see [4]) stable/rocky: Oct 16, 2019 CI jobs on the manila repo have been failing on these branches, and the team has no bandwidth to address them; we polled the community members and contributors during several IRC meetings as well as the Xena Project Teams Gathering, and there has been steadily reduced interest in needing these branches to be maintained. So, I'd like to request that these branches be moved to end-of-life. Any open changes on these branches for these repositories have been abandoned, and patches are posted [1][2][3][4] to create the EOL tags. Once the Xena cycle concludes, we would also like to transition stable/stein branches on these repositories and bid adieu to the last remnants of python2 testing in manila.
