[masakari] is this project still active and can be used in production environment
Hi, list, I saw this project hasn't been active for months. So I'm wondering if it is still actively developed and can it be used in production? Are there any use cases ? Thanks.
Thanks for your kind help. On Wed, Dec 4, 2024 at 9:35 AM luckydog xf <luckydogxf@gmail.com> wrote:

Yes, I can tell that it's being used. However the project itself totally does need some help and love from the community, it deserves. On Fri, 13 Dec 2024, 03:23 luckydog xf, <luckydogxf@gmail.com> wrote:

Great to hear from you, so would it work as expected? Have you validated the entire function? It seems it's so easy to deploy and no steps to verify. On Fri, Dec 13, 2024 at 2:21 PM Dmitriy Rabotyagov <noonedeadpunk@gmail.com> wrote:

I'm not sure it's that easy, as service does have couple of quirks. Like you need a separate clustering service like pacemaker or consul, so that masakari could track the state of nodes. Then I never actually used an instance monitor, mostly focusing on the host monitor functionality. And then you also need to add hosts separately to masakari API under correct hostnames, which would match nova compute services. And hostnames used for clustering should also match them. But as I said, it works for me after all:) On Fri, 20 Dec 2024, 07:37 luckydog xf, <luckydogxf@gmail.com> wrote:

I am also using the Masakari project. We are using open stack in Kubernetes native environment and monitoring it using our own Kubernetes monitor driver, not using pacemaker or consul. I want these changes to be reflected. But this project needs people's attention and help, as you said. Below is a link to the Kubernetes driver we developed. https://review.opendev.org/c/openstack/masakari-specs/+/907125 https://review.opendev.org/c/openstack/masakari-monitors/+/907140
We are also using this project. We just added some task flows that are aligned with our infrastructure. On Wed, Dec 4, 2024 at 6:57 PM luckydog xf <luckydogxf@gmail.com> wrote:

We are currently using this project with a Corosync/Pacemaker cluster. Additionally, we've implemented customized task flows that are aligned with our infrastructure. On Wed, Dec 4, 2024 at 6:57 PM luckydog xf <luckydogxf@gmail.com> wrote:
