Hello, Happy to inform you the open source developer license for Pycharm has been renewed for 1 additional year till July 2021. Best Regards, Swapnil Kulkarni coolsvap at gmail dot com
Hi Swapnil, We’re at July 2021 already – so they expire at the end of this month? Well... they expired... Is this a matter of just contacting JetBrains? I assume coolsvap won't be able to do this any longer, but IMHO this may just be handled by someone from the foundation/TC. mnaser maybe? xD CC'ing you just in case you'd like to step up, otherwise I'll try contacting JetBrains on my own ;) Thanks! Totally agree, In any case, and if there's anyone who would be able to rely on JetBrains please feel free to take this over, I've sent an email to JetBrains asking for this. i have used inteliJ and pycharm form time to time. but normally use emacs/nano but on rare ocations having a full fledge IDE has been handy for debuging but in general my experice is eventlet tends to break it out side of simple unit tests but the gevent compat option can help. thierry maybe the foundation could help get opendev added to https://www.jetbrains.com/community/opensource/#partner but in general its proably better for existing users to reach out to opensource@jetbrains.com

Maybe you meant OpenInfra (the foundation)? Given the OpenDev Collaboratory's strong stance in favor of purely free/libre open source developer tools, OpenDev partnering with a proprietary software vendor in order to get developers gratis access to closed-source tools would definitely send the wrong signal. -- Jeremy Stanley
Hi all, besides all the comments which I really appreciate, I've gotten a response from JetBrains and the licenses should be active again for one more year (2023). Any volunteer to handle the JetBrains relationship from the community side? Best! Daniel On 13/7/22 11:04, Thierry Carrez wrote:
