DevStack, Kolla-Ansible, TripleO
Devstack is for testing rather than production use. Same for Packstack, whose purpose is PoC or learning. TripleO has been abandoned, I think, but it is (was) the open-source version of RedHat's OpenStack deployment and management process.
which method is currently most preferred or widely adopted in production environments
The Openstack User Survey https://www.openstack.org/analytics will give you an idea which deployment methods are popular. Click on “Deployment Decisions”. Keep in mind that this survey is based on voluntary participation and may not paint the true picture; in particular, no commercial deployment tool seems to be mentioned. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: Saranraj M <saranraj.m@zybisys.com> Sent: Wednesday, May 14, 2025 3:12 PM To: openstack-discuss <openstack-discuss@lists.openstack.org> Subject: Inquiry About Cloud applications Deployment Methods and Current Best Practices Dear OpenStack Community, I hope this message finds you well.
