Hi, not so long ago I wrote down what was necessary in my lab environment to configure a cephadm based cluster with keystone authentication for S3 (swift) clients. In Openstack you need swift endpoints which point to the rados gateway(s) in your external ceph cluster. So you don't really set up swift but only create the endpoints for your clients. I can't comment what exactly needs to be done with kolla but you should get the general idea, I hope. Hello. Thank you for your email, But the problem is that I use cephadm so it is not like a traditional way to configure, I am trying to test. Nguyen Huu Khoi

So if I remember correctly from when we did this a long while back, you don't really do much on the openstack deployment side. Ceph comes with a swift compliant interface so the only thing required was in the ceph.conf to enable keystone as an authentication mechanism. ------------------------------ *From:* Nguyễn Hữu Khôi <nguyenhuukhoinw@gmail.com> *Sent:* 26 April 2023 02:08 *To:* OpenStack Discuss <openstack-discuss@lists.openstack.org> *Subject:* [kolla-ansible][swift][ceph]
