Mystery sorted: 1blocker ad filter extension was crashing mobile safari. I reported it to them and whitelisted the domain. Bit weird as we do not do any tracking on gerrit. In anyone has a similar problem: remember to disable all extensions. Apparently that affected the private mode as well. On Mon, 26 Jul 2021 at 00:30, Ian Wienand <iwienand@redhat.com> wrote:

I am wondering if something was changed on our gerrit deployment recently as it seems to no longer load on ios safari.
I just tested iOS/safari and it works for me. Also the gerrit logs show plenty of hits with 'Mobile Safari' in it.
The gerrit server did recently move as announced in several places [1].
So far we have resolved issues which have turned out to be client side issues such as old DNS overrides and incorrectly configured firewalls.
The server is in a new provider, and it's not impossible there are communication issues between networks. However we'd need details such as IP addresses to see if you're making it to the server or not. If you'd understandably not like to broadcast all your network details here, you can send mail with details to service-incident@lists.opendev.org and we can investigate further.
