It would be great to see this as a goal. I know that CERN (hi Arne o/) are
interested in contributing to this effort and it would be great to have you
working together on this.


Indeed, would be great to see this high on the plan! As we have discussed at the forum session in  Berlin, the community is very interested in this (in general, not only for Glance) and the TC/OSC&SDK teams are making an effort to help, e.g. by lowering the initial threshold to contribute developer resources.
