Hi Folks,
In a neutron DHCP network, the route to the link local metadata ip from a VM, is thru the ip set by the neutron dhcp agent's static route option for that subnet. This is the same IP as that of the qdhcp namespace's tap interface.
Can we choose a specific ip from this subnet and pass it to neutron to use the same when assigning the ip in qdhcp ns and as a static route option to link local ?
IIUC Neutron creates this DHCP ports automatically if there is no port like that in the network. But if you will create manually port with "device_owner" set to "reserved_dhcp_port" and you will choose IP address for it, this port will then be used by the DHCP agent. -- Slawek Kaplonski Principal Software Engineer Red Hat
