Thank you Dmitriy! I am a bit surprised. I'd expect records for deleted resource to be cleaned up by some retention policy. Will need to make sure such clean-up to be taken care of by daily operation. BTW, is it mentioned in any doc? I probably missed it. To clean up such records for cinder you can run command cinder-manage db purge <days to retain> For nova it's a bit more complicated as first you would archive these records and only then purge them from shadow tables. This is done with nova-manage command.
