Thanks @Brian Haley for adding this topic to the agenda. As commented in the mail I sent some minutes ago, it would be better to read the comment I made on the bug; it is more complicated than I initially expected. I would prefer to propose some patches and discuss them offline. We can always bring this topic next week in the bugs section.
