Hey Reet,
Self-nominations for core maintainers are rare in our community, but
appreciate you doing this - we could use all the help available to
maintain Skyline. It's up to the current maintainers to decide if you
could be added though. From a recent conversation about Skyline, we've
learned that the existing maintainers have limited bandwidth in
maintaining the project; so they'd be glad for help.
In the meantime, becoming a core maintainer requires you to establish
some reviews on the projects, and begin participating in project
maintenance activities such as fixing/enhancing CI jobs, documentation
etc. Doing this would earn the trust of the existing maintainers. See
this section of the project team guide:
https://docs.openstack.org/project-team-guide/open-development.html#core-reviewers
In order to establish interest in the project, I suggest organizing a
discussion at the upcoming PTG. I'm sure there are many other
interested attendees that could gather to discuss the maintenance of
the project and future plans. I'd be happy to help you with this in
case you're interested in doing it.
