Thank you so much for your tireless service as our fearless leader Tom. While we'll allow you to retire as PTL for a term or few, I'm glad we'll retain you as a guide and mentor. Thanks for reposing faith in your protégées, I'm only one of many. I'm going to attempt to steal your shoes and try them out.
I want to thank the Manila community for allowing me to serve as PTL
for the last three cycles, but it is time for us to change it up! I
know it's late for this announcement, but I wanted first to make sure
that I won't be leaving an unfilled vacancy and events conspired such
that that took longer than anticipated :)
So stay tuned for an announcment shortly of a nomination for a new PTL
for Ussuri -- I'm sure you'll be as pleased as I am with what you'll
read.
I'm not going anywhere. I'll be working on Manila itself and helping
the new PTL, as well as working with actual Manila deployments and the
use of Manila as open infrastructure by adjacent communities.
