I'm writing to propose some updates to the Watcher core team membership
to ensure we maintain an active and engaged core review team.

## Proposed Removals (Immediate)

The following core reviewers have been inactive for an extended period and I propose to remove them from all Watcher core groups:

We want to thank all these contributors for their valuable work and contributions to the Watcher project over the years
for there time and effort.

## Core Activity Notice (Removal planned for 2026.2)

The following core reviewers are currently showing low activity levels.
We're providing advance notice that they will be removed from the core group at the start of the 2026.2
cycle unless they become active again during the 2026.1 cycle:

We recognize that over time priorities change, if you wish to maintain their core status and can re-engage or
wish to be be removed before we review the core composition again at the start of 2026.2 just let us know.

## New Core Proposal

I would also like to propose adding jgilaber (jgilaber@redhat.com) as a new member of the watcher-core group,
based on their recent contributions and engagement with the project.

## Timeline

These changes will take effect if there are no objections by our next Watcher IRC meeting on Thursday, September 11th, 2025.
