I'm currently looking into extending Nova API to allow on-demand VM quiescing 

with the ultimate goal being improved Cinder snapshot creation. The spec is undergoing 

review at the moment and I was wondering if someone from Cinder would be kind 

enough to look it over and give their thoughts on it:
