Not sure what pb you are refering to. This type of issues are mostly met in Debian Unstable that none (but me, as the package maintainer) use.

As for the type of problem explained above, in theory it may happen. In practice, package maintainer then to only set upper bound constraints for Depends:, and I never encounter such issue. If this happened, let me know and I will try and fix.

FYI, Debian supports installing directly on bare metal without containers if you feel this eay.
