Come join the election officials! I setup a meeting for June 29th at 16:00 UTC for those that would like to join and learn about running an election. We can adjust it. I just wanted to get something on the calendar before its too late and we are behind again. The election officials team really could use your help! I will walk through the scripts we use to generate dates and the electorate and answer questions you might have about the README.rst that has the entire process in it. Hiding tabs for users with _member_ role

Hi all, I have enabled the octavia dashboard and also swift object store. I would like to keep these for the admin or project admin and not display them (tabs) to regular users. Is this possible? thanks in advance. Regards,Derek

Regaring Volume not getting attached

Development Focus ----------------- The Xena-2 milestone will happen next month, on 15 July, 2021. Xena-related specs should now be finalized so that teams can move to implementation ASAP. General Information ------------------- Please remember that libraries need to be released at least once per milestone period. At milestone 2, the release team will propose releases for any library that has not been otherwise released since milestone 1. Other non-library deliverables that follow the cycle-with-intermediary release model should have an intermediary release before milestone-2. Those who haven't will be proposed to switch to the cycle-with-rc model, which is more suited to deliverables that are released only once per cycle. At milestone-2 we also freeze the contents of the final release. If you have a new deliverable that should be included in the final release, you should make sure it has a deliverable file in: https://opendev.org/openstack/releases/src/branch/master/deliverables/xena You should request a beta release (or intermediary release) for those new deliverables by milestone-2. [ops] Automatically recover guests from down host

All; What is the most effective means of having the OpenStack cluster restart guests when a hypervisor host fails? We're running OpenStack Victoria, installed manually through packages. My apologies, but my Google foo fails me on this issue; I don't know how to ask it the question. I recognize that OpenStack covers a great many different deployment scenarios, and in many of these this isn't feasible. In our case, images, volumes, and ephemeral storage are all on our Ceph cluster, so all storage is always available to all hypervisor hosts. I also recognize that resource restrictions mean that even in an environment such as mine, not all failed guests may be able to be restarted on new hosts. I'm ok with a dumb best effort, at least for now. Is there something already present in OpenStack which would allow this? Thank you, Dominic L.
