PNDriver on openstack VM is not able to communicate to ET200SP device connected to my physical router

Dear Community, I have installed openstack on Centos 7 on Virutalbox VM. Now I am running an application PNDriver on openstack VM(VNF), which is supposed to communicate with a hardware ET200SP, which is connected to my physical home router. Now my PNDriver is not able to communicate to ET200SP hardware device. PNDriver minimum requirements to run on an interface is using ethtool it should list the speed, duplex, and port properties, but by default speed , duplex, and port values it is Showing "unknown" on openstack VM(VNF). I tried setting these values using ethtool and somehow I was able to set duplex, speed values but port value when I am trying to set it is throwing error. My question is how we can set the port value of openstack VM(Vnf) using ethtool? Second question is that suppose if we create a VM on virtualbox, then virtualbox provides a provision for bridged type on network setting, can I not configure openstack vm (vnf) like a virtualbox VM so that my vnf can also get broadcast messages broadcasted by the connected hardware devices in my home router? I'm facing a weird situation where Ceilometer compute agent fails to get libvirt domain metadata on an Ubuntu 20.04 LTS with the latest updates, kernel 5.4.0-65-generic and Openstack Wallaby Nova compute services installed using the official Wallaby repo for Ubuntu 20.04. All components have been deployed manually. Ceilometer agent is configured with instance_discovery_method = libvirt_metadata. The agent is unable to fetch the domain metadata, and the following error messages appear in /var/log/ceilometer/ceilometer-agent-compute.log on agent start and periodic polling attempts: 2021-06-01 We had a quick rehearsal meeting of the OpenStack Ops Meetups team on IRC on the new IRC host this morning. Minutes are linked below, however the key points : new team member amorin OFTC IRC worked fine openstack's meetbot instance is correctly connected and the expected commands worked (big shoutout to Jeremy Stanley and the opendev infra team for a seamless switch!)
