Hi All, Please find below the steps to set-up tacker for managing vnf packages. Steps to set-up tacker for managing vnf packages:- 1. Root Ara report removed from Zuul Jobs

Hello Everyone, We have removed the top level Zuul job Ara reports from our Zuul jobs. This was done to reduce the total number of objects we are uploading to our swift/ceph object stores as some clouds have indicated the total object volume is a bit high. Analysis showed that Ara represented a significant chunk of that data. We did not remove that information though. Zuul's build dashboard is able to render a similar report for builds. You can find that by clicking on the "Console" tab of a build. For exampe, here is one for a nova tox job: http://zuul.openstack.org/build/8e581b24d38b4e5c8ff046be081c4525/console We hope this makes our log storage easier to support while still providing the information you need to debug your jobs. Note jobs that run a nested ara-report are not affected by this. I think TripleO, OSA, and others do this. Thank you, Clark

Development Focus ----------------- We are getting close to the end of the Train cycle! Next week on September 12 is the train-3 milestone, also known as feature freeze. It's time to wrap up feature work in the services and their client libraries, and defer features that won't make it to the Ussuri cycle. General Information ------------------- This coming week is the deadline for client libraries: their last feature release needs to happen before "Client library freeze" on September 12. Only bugfix releases will be allowed beyond this point. When requesting those library releases, you can also include the stable/train branching request with the review (as an example, see the "branches" section here: https://opendev.org/openstack/releases/src/branch/master/deliverables/pike/…) September 12 is also the deadline for feature work in all OpenStack deliverables following the cycle-with-rc model. To help those projects produce a first release candidate in time, only bugfixes should be allowed in the master branch beyond this point. Any feature work past that deadline has to be approved by the team PTL. Finally, feature freeze is also the deadline for submitting a first version of your cycle-highlights. Cycle highlights are the raw data hat helps shape what is communicated in press releases and other release activity at the end of the cycle, avoiding direct contacts from marketing folks. [Horizon] Paging and Angular...

Hi all, I took apart the Horizon paging mechanism while working on [1] and have a few of findings: - Paging is unimplemented/turned off for many (if not most) panels, not just Routers and Networks - Currently, single page data loads could potentially bump up against API hard limits - Sorting is also broken in places where paging is enabled (Old images...), see [2] - The Networks table loads data via three API calls due to neutron API limitations, which makes the marker based mechanism unusable - There is at least one more minor bug which breaks pagination, there may be more While some of these things may be fixable in different hacky and/or inefficient ways, we already have Angular implementations which fix many of them and make improving and fixing the rest easier. Since Angular ports would help with other unrelated issues as well and allow us to start deprecating old code, I was wondering two things: 1) What would it take to increase the priority of Angularization in general? 2) Can the Code Review process be modified/improved to increase the chance for Angularization changes to be code reviewed and merged if they do happen? My previous attempts in this area have failed because of lack of code reviewers... Since full Angularization is still the goal for Horizon as far as I know, I'd rather spend time doing that than hacking solutions to different problems in legacy code which is slated deprecation. Hello Everyone, Below is the progress on Ipv6 goal during R6 week. I am preparing the legacy base job for IPv6 deployment. NOTE: As first step, I am going to set up the job with all IPv6 deployment setting and basic verification whether service listens on IPv6 or not. As the second step, we will add post-run script to audit the tcpdump/logs etc for unwanted IPv4 traffic. [zaqar][requirements] - release zaqarclient please?

Hi Zaqar team, I tried to contact you via IRC but that didn't seem to go very well. The requirements team is looking for a release of the client so that we can move on updating jsonschema. We'd like to update it before the freeze time (starts Monday the 9th) so that all the other projects that use it can use it for a while in gate before release. held back because waiting for zaqarclient -jsonschema===3.0.2 +jsonschema===2.6.0 Is it possible to release a new version of the client (for instance as novaclient just recently did (among others))?
