Does Openstack provide same legal coverage for projects in Stackforge ?
Hi I previously posted an email http://lists.openstack.org/pipermail/legal-discuss/2014-December/000328.html asking for clarification on the legalities for projects referenced by Openstack and intending to eventually be integrated into main Openstack branch as Openstack Core Projects, but that currently reside in Stackforge. What legal, license, patent troll protection, TM etc would be covered by Openstack for projects in Stackforge? Can someone from the Openstack Legal Team/Openstack Foundation please clarify this? BR Alan
Hi, There isn't really what I'd call an 'OpenStack Legal Team' (the OpenStack Foundation has legal counsel, and the Foundation also has a Legal Affairs Committee, some or all of whom may be subscribed to this list). I'm not really clear on what your question is. Can you explain what you mean by "covered by OpenStack"? Richard On Tue, Jan 20, 2015 at 10:10:11PM +0000, Alan Kavanagh wrote:
