The "Grant of Patent License" sections look similar as well (and also fun! I love the bit about terminating licensing to any entity that enters into litigation against a contributor).
Funny story there, that clause apparently is why the FSF considers the current ASL (2.0) to be incompatible with GPL up through v2 (but compatible with GPL v3 at least): http://www.gnu.org/licenses/license-list.html#apache2 -- Jeremy Stanley
