Open Stack

If you will be coming to Austin for OpenStack Summit one of the highlights
will be the Women of OpenStack working session (breakfast and coffee
provided) on Tuesday morning (7am-8:45am). I'd like to thank Comcast for
sponsoring the session and invite each of you to join us to hear from other
women in the OpenStack community and discuss how we can support each other.

During the session we'll celebrate our accomplishments over the past year
and hear lightning talks from three Women of OpenStack who have recently
taken on new roles within the OpenStack community. The speakers and will
share their insights on how you can accelerate your learning curve to
navigate and become an influencer within the OpenStack community.

We'll break into small groups to discuss the key lightening talk messages
and identify actions for the Women of OpenStack to achieve over the next
six months. I am looking for volunteers to help facilitate the small group
discussions by recording the key themes from your break out group. If you
would like to volunteer to be a group facilitator, please send an email to
jessicak at us.ibm.com.

On a related topic, a question came up this week in our Women of OpenStack
planning meeting re: a Women of OpenStack logo to help identify supporters
of our group. Great news -- we WILL have Women of OpenStack artwork
stickers available at all of the women-specific events starting on Sunday.
You can pick the stickers up, share them with your friends, and show your
support for the Women of OpenStack by adding them to your summit name
badge, laptops, etc.
