[Women-of-openstack] Tool lunch and learn at the summit?

Niki – I think you raise a good point, we should provide virtual sessions for these topics so that people who won’t be in Tokyo can gain the info too. We can dedicate a November meeting to covering these topics or we could schedule separate sessions for these to make sure we have time to provide an overview and answer questions and help on configuration issues (a big factor from my experience with Gerrit/Github).

I think we should have in-person sessions for the folks who will travel to Tokyo and take advantage of the Face to face opportunity.

Thanks
Carol

What if we split the difference and did some topics virtually and some in person? So maybe schedule one virtually for before the summit, do another topic at the summit on Wednesday and then if there's enough interest, do a virtual replay of the Wednesday summit session sometime in November?
Thanks!

I’m happy to support either or both options.

Hosting an in-person session at the Summit during lunch should avoid other conflicts. No other sessions are scheduled over lunch. :)

Just let me know what the group decides.

Cheers,
Claire

So wait— Is idea to do this at the summit? Or have virtually/over webexes in the non-summit rush?

Preferably, I think #2 is a better option. I know a lot of folks can’t get to the Tokyo summit that would benefit from these session.
