Below is the current set of questions from the Ambassador application form. I figured this would be a good starting place for revising this process. Please provide any feedback you have on these questions, as well as anything criteria you think should be added in this etherpad: https://etherpad.openstack.org/p/ambassador-program-update What is your name? What is your email address? Where do you reside? Why are you applying to become an OpenStack Ambassador? How have you participated in the OpenStack Community to date? What ideas do you have for your community, that you wish you had time or resources to implement? How will you work with others to achieve your goals? Thanks! Jimmy posted the User Survey update to the public mailing list to ensure we updated the entire community and that we caught any projects that had not submitted their questions. The User Survey is open all year, and the primary goal is passing operator feedback to the upstream community. If the Octavia team - or any OpenStack project team - has a question they would like added (limit of 2 per project), please let Jimmy or myself know. Thanks for reaching out, Michael. To date, we have limited adding questions to OpenStack project teams, UC, and TC. If we were going to open it up to Working Groups and SIGs, then we would need to open it up to all of the groups. We have not done this in the past, as we were trying to avoid making the survey too long and complex. We could evaluate this for the next version of the User Survey that will open in August and communicate with all working groups and SIGs, but we don’t have enough time to open that process for the current version. I am happy to join the next auto-scaling SIG meeting to help identify a way to collect this feedback in the meantime if your team would like. Application questions: Why are you applying to become an OSF Ambassador? What are your goals for your community and how will you work with others to achieve them? What topics interest your community? How have you supported the Open Infrastructure community to date? Please provide any additional details (ex. links to presentations, user group names, OpenStack/Open Infra Days organization etc.) In what capacities have you been involved with the Open Infrastructure community? Please explain Please select any OSF-supported projects with which you are involved: Name Email Company Title See the full application here: https://openstackfoundation.formstack.com/forms/osf_ambassador_application Once we have received the application, the User Committee will review them directly, since they have signed a confidentiality agreement. They will then collaboratively decide who will be confirmed as an official OSF Ambassador. Please let me know if anyone has questions.
