Open Stack

This email is my nomination for the OpenStack User Committee election.

I have been an OpenStack operator since the Grizzly release working with both
private and public cloud environments. I have also been an upstream
contributor since the Mitaka release cycle and I am currently a Core
Reviewer for OpenStack-Ansible which works closely with operators to help
them  set up their deployments and insight for our direction. Having been
involved on both sides of the table  I feel I can bring valuable insight
into the duties of the User Committee.

As an instructor focused on OpenStack, I work to help my students
understand the system and how to use it with the hope they will join the
community. While through my involvement with the OpenStack Upstream
Institute, Women of OpenStack, and Diversity Working Group, I have been
very active in helping to bring new members to our community and more
importantly working to find new ways to keep invested once they join.

There are many opportunities available from Outreachy, Google Summer of
Code, the Women of OpenStack's mentoring program as well as the First
Contact SIG that people aren't aware are available to them and I feel we
need to do a better job of promoting them.  The strength of project is
dependent on new faces.
