[User-committee] [Product] Submitting PWG Bird of a Feather Session

Maybe add a description at the note:
https://www.openstack.org/summit/boston-2017/summit-categories

If you scroll down to “The Forum”, it currently said:
* Note: these are not selected though the Call for Presentations process

Maybe add:
* Note: these are not selected through the Call for Presentations process and submission is limited to WG chair/leader (something like that…)

The submissions do not count against the max sessions per person. Each person in the WG/BoF list is allowed to submit 2 additional sessions to that track.

I believe communications have already gone out to other WG leaders, but if there is some additional clarification we can provide, please don't hesitate.

Thanks!
Jimmy

Yes, please. Do these submissions count against the maximum sessions per person? This is one of the reasons why Kenny volunteered because both of our PWG chairs will be approaching three sessions.

I assume that other WG might have similar situation as well.
I am hoping that this “limitation” is clearly communicated with the WG chairs.

Thanks for your effort again!
Leong.

Right. The ability to submit to these categories is limited to a list of working group leads we got from Edgar Magana. If you think your name should be included, let me know which project and we'll take a look.

Thanks!
Jimmy

Hi Jimmy,

That is a bit confusing as it wasn’t reflected that way on the CFP site?
If you login to “Add New Presentation”, there is no option to submit Working Session or BoF session.

Thanks!

Hey all -

I know it was a bit different in Barcelona, but things are back to normal this go round. BoF and Working Groups should be submitted through the normal CFP process. However, the submission process is limited to the folks that lead those groups. If you have further questions, don't hesitate to reach out to Erin Disney or myself.

Thanks!

I also just realized that the Working Session and BoF will be in the Forum, not the “user conference” CFP.

Keep an eye on the Forum planning.

In our last PWG meeting I took the action to submit a request for the PWG's BOF session. I seem to recall from doing this last summit that those requests do not go through the standard CFP process. Anyone know what action I need to take to request the session?

Thanks!
