TL;DR: We’re working on revisions to the 2017-01 User Survey now. We’re looking for your input: question changes, app dev survey, and volunteers to do comment analysis/report review.

Hi User Committee, 
We’re conducting the 2017-01 User Survey in Feb/March and produce a report in March/April with a goal of sharing results with the community in advance of the Boston Summit. 

We’d like to minimize survey changes to enable more year-over-year comparisons using the self-serve survey analytics tool, openstack.org/analytics <http://openstack.org/analytics>.

We’ll support the PTG by producing PTL-submitted questions for community feedback in time for this meeting
In lieu of having a separate app dev section of the survey (currently four questions accessible only to those who indicate they are app devs), we’d like to relocate some of those questions into the main survey and consider building an app dev-specific survey that stands on its own (with audience-specific promotion and targeting). This allows us to expand participation from the app dev community and ask more specific questions.
Want to be part of the user survey report team? Your volunteer commitment would be 2-5 hours in early March, and focuses on comment analysis from the survey answers, and an opportunity to review the report/results early. A confidentiality agreement is required to participate.
