I know I'm late to respond to this (and I'm sure it was discussed in
your meetings as well), but I have to ask - why create a new mailing
list for this conversation rather than just using the User Committee
mailing list?  The UC list is very low volume, but by it's nature it
should have all interested parties already subscribed.  The goals of
the interop working group should be of keen interest to *all* the
other working groups in my opinion, so I'd think it would be
advantageous to treat communications here the same way the dev mailing
list is handled (with [project] noted in the subject line to keep
threads organized).
