Maybe that would be a good place to start with expanding the committee to
cover the user group aspect and leave the industry aspect till this side has
matured a little.

I'm mostly worried about getting enough candidates for each region/industry.
I guess if we don't get enough candidates for the scope we have, we can
combine some slots. This sounds like a reasonable approach and will give us
an idea of candidate interest, though.

Ryan,

I'm fine with an initial round of some more nominations in order to increase
the scope. We can schedule elections post-summit. We should at least be able
to identify

- 3 representatives of the geographies (US, EMEA, Asia)

- A small number of industry representatives in the key areas that
the foundation wants to focus on in 2013

We should try to avoid elections at the end of the year since this would
cause extra confusion w.r.t. individual member board elections.

Finalize structure of committee Begin inviting new committee members Send
initial user poll

Does this mean we would select members or that we would hold elections?

Ryan Lane

I think we need to have more discussion on this. Elections will be difficult
if we're trying to ensure the membership coverage areas we've set up. I do
think elections are the right way to go, but setting them up properly is
going to be difficult.
