I hate to answer with a question: which newsletter are you referring to? 
The weekly newsletter that I send out on Friday's is a simple email 
message that goes to 3 mailing lists (openstack-announce, openstack 
General and openstack-community) and the blog. It's titled "OpenStack 
Community Weekly Newsletter". There is no way to have demographic of 
email addresses that subscribe to those lists or any meaningful number.

There is another newsletter that the Foundation produces, sent 
monthly-ish, for which there should be more details available. I don't 
have access to that data though.

To summarise, I think it's a good idea to help news about deployments 
emerge more organically. I'll ping Todd to see how hard it is to give me 
access to the survey result, and clear with Jonathan the process to get 
clearance about mentioning publicly new deployments.
