While the company focused on developing its market share, a book seller named <i>Amazon</i> took the industry by surprise and built the world’s largest Public Cloud using freely available alternatives.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>It was swift, and it embarrassed the largest players in the technology sector. The only way for a fragmented industry to fight back was to agree on embracing an open source option.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>In 2010, OpenStack which was originally developed by <i>NASA</i>, was ready to meet the challenge. Most leading companies like <i>IBM, HP, Intel</i>, <i>Rackspace</i>, etc. invested in its development to offer an alternative. This ground-breaking open-source platform has grown.
