"User" would be a merge of the current list with the operators list. The<br>
benefit is that it matches a recognized pattern in open source project<br>
lists (-user, -dev, -announce). The drawback is that there is no default<br>
list for newcomers or general discussion, and operators-specific topics<br>
will get lost on the -user list, the same way the dev topics used to be.<br>
<br>
Personally, I prefer option A. On one side you have a general list where<br>
almost everyone lurks, on the other you have several topic- or<br>
team-oriented lists with sharper focus. One issue is that it's difficult<br>
to spot important things on the (noisy) general list, but we also have a<br>
(moderated) -announce list that we can more actively use for things we<br>
want to make sure everyone sees.<br>
