Just a quick heads-up that this review[1] if accepted will result in<br>
glance taking a soft dependency on pysendfile.<br>

The import is conditional, so where pysendfile is unavailable on a<br>
particular distro, the 'glance add' command will simply fallback to<br>
the pre-existing chunk-at-a-time logic.<br>
<br>
Russell Bryant is working on packaging pysendfile for Fedora[2],<br>
so that base will be covered.<br>
<br>
I also spoke to the maintainer of pysendfile and there are ogoing<br>
efforts in his community to update the python-sendfile packages for<br>
Debian/Ubuntu - the existing packages[3] were based on the now-obsolete<br>
1.4.x version of pysendfile.<br>
