[Openstack] Horizon works with IP but not DNS name

Just curious, why cant you check* nslookup controller.example.com
<http://controller.example.com>* to make sure it is correctly pointing to
10.1.1.1 or May be trace the route to see where it is going before you look
into any conf file changes?
