Hi guys,

is there planed any project or functions for consistency checks in
OpenStack core services ?

I mean we have Heat for this behavior in case of instances and
describing a cluster on top of OpenStack so you can use Heat with
TripleO to observe your deployed stack.
However the main stack don't have any functions or procedures to check
the consistency and/or heal of your whole cloud stack. Functions like
running services in Nova, Cinder, xxx or agents in Neutron are present
but a really clean status check of your stack is an important thing to
ensure all components are working correctly.

Many things you can check with common tools like Nagios/Icinga, Monit
and so on but many components have a strict denticulation. Single
checks of your services detects some problems with each service but
not the health of the whole stack.

Is there any planned as standalone project or implementations on each
project code ?

Thanks and Cheers
Heiko
