Open Stack

Hallo all,

I tried installing the demo version of the Horizon from this URL<https://github.com/gabrielhurley/horizon_demo> on a VM running Ubuntu 12.04 and got the following error message

"Installing dependencies...
(This may take several minutes, don't panic)
Wheel installs require setuptools >= 0.8 for dist-info support.
pip's wheel support requires setuptools >= 0.8 for dist-info support.
Storing debug log for failure in /home/ubuntu/.pip/pip.log
Command "/home/ubuntu/horizon_demo/tools/with_venv.sh pip install --upgrade -r /home/ubuntu/horizon_demo/tools/pip-requires" failed."

Did anybody face this problem? Can I get help to resolve this problem?

Hallo all,

In my project, I have a requirement to create a new panel in Horizon under the Admin view. I am planning to develop this in a virtual machine that has Ubuntu 12.04.

Can somebody help me with the following?

a)      Installation guide to setup Horizon on the virtual machine

b)      Create new panels and integrate them with the existing dashboard
