Hi Piyush,

Ceilometer does not currently meter memory util, but we plan to add this
functionality during the Icehouse cycle.

It was one of the many topics discussed at the design summit last week:

  https://etherpad.openstack.org/p/icehouse-summit-ceilometer-future-of-alarming

I intend to file blueprints this week for the design sessions I led in HK,
and this requirement will be included in a "Wider variety of metrics suitable
for alarming" BP.

Cheers,
Eoghan
