Open Stack

I've followed the instructions for setting logging using the local0 and local1 facilities. I've modified rsyslogd's config to add those logs. I get the startup info for each thread, but that's it. Is there a common oversight in the extant docs that's leaving out a piece of crucial info? I want LOTS of detail to try to figure out why my (3rd-party) client isn't connecting.
