I would like to share with the you the highlights from the OpenStack Day which was held in Tel-Aviv on June 2nd .

It was a fantastic event  -we had a blast !


u  Over 500 attendees at the event

u  Executive attendance of key OpenStack Foundation staff : Jonathan Bryce (Executive Director) , Mark Collier (Chief Operating Officer) , Monty Taylor ( Technical Committee member ),  Allison Price (Marketing Manager)

u  HPE as a ‘Gold’ Sponsor with a branded booth + Live Demo of HOS 3.0  (thank you EMEA Cloud CoE team) + 5-min pitch at the keynote of Jonathan Bryce  and a seat for HPE ConteXtream Chief Architect at the NFV Panel of experts

u  Many sessions led by Tim Bell from Cern , Jesse Proudman (IBM Bluebox founder) & Frank Weyns from Rackspace.

u  The jewel in crown was a session delivered by an Israeli Intelligence Unit (MoD) in which they disclosed their OpenStack journey and the fact they have decided to adopt OpenStack. It was a rare appearance of this unit in public. Hint: HPE has done good contribution there….

No doubt OpenStack rocks also in Israel !

Kudos to the HPE ConteXtream / EGC / HIT team that took part and assisted in making this event a successful one.
