Let me start by saying that It is very exciting to hear that you will be hosting another OpenStack Day event in Taiwan, and I would also like to respond to your questions.

 

About the Logo and New OpenStack Day Branding

The logo that you are proposing to use is not the correct logo.  In order to streamline the branding for OpenStack Days, we have produced new logos and digital assets for every OpenStack Day event. We believe these assets will help you, as the organizer, easily and quickly brand your event. We will provide you with templates to create your own banners, signage, website pages, social media logos for meetups, facebook, twitter, etc.


I will be sending this branding kit out to you in the next few weeks so you will be able to quickly utilize these in all of your outbound communications and promotion for the OpenStack Day event in Taiwan.

We want to do more promotion and advertising around OpenStack Days, so having consistent branding will help us run these advertising campaigns, as well as help attendees know they are official events.

 

OpenStack Speakers Bureau

We are extremely excited to announce our new OpenStack Speakers Bureau.  This tool gives you the ability to find someone by location, expertise, language, travel preference and country of origin - or just search by their name. We also have Monty Taylor, who is a member of the OpenStack Foundation Board of Directors; he is available and very interested in presenting at OpenStack Day events.  If you would like to reach out to him directly, let me know and would be happy to make the introductions.

 

OpenStack Branded swag kits for OpenStack Day events

The OpenStack Foundation is happy to offer your team a $5,000 USD contribution to help support your event as long as you follow the OpenStack policies and guidelines.  We would expect that you would use the new OpenStack Day logo that has been specifically for your event on all outbound public promotions and communications.  This contribution allows you to then print and purchase items locally instead of having them ordered and shipped internationally.  We are happy to provide you with any graphics you will require to print stickers, tablecloths, pens, t-shirts, etc. locally.
