sales pitch was kept to the last 5 minutes of the talk.  The ones that
worked for me were given by vendors that
 provided a supported version of an OpenStack project and gave a talk or
lab on that project.  If they keep the bulk of the presentation to the
open source technology, then give their product a plug at the end, I think
it’s cool.

closed source plug in would simply not attend that session.
