Thanks Jimmy.
Our 12 selections fall into 9 presentations, 2 lightning talks and 1 alt.
Waiting for your green light for setting final selections.
Thanks,
Arkady

Arkady,

That's not quite right. You have the following selections to make:

9 sessions + 1 alternate
2 lightning talks

You can see how to manage those by watching this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8meeot74BXk&t=17s

The numbers are spelled out as (0/10 selections) and (0/2 lightning talks selections)

As per my previous email, we're in the middle of tracking a bug, so please hold off on setting your final Team selection until that is resolved.

Thanks and let me know if you have further questions.

Jimmy

Jimmy,
Have the numbers had been loaded in for tracks?
Our track made our selection.
We choose 3 presentations, 8 lightning talks (2 sessions) and 1 alternate lightning talk.

Is the tool ready for us to accept these choice?
Thanks,
Arkady

Arkady,

We have not yet decided on final numbers for tracks or lightning talks. Once we have that, the numbers will appear in the Track Chair tool. That's why I've suggested holding off on your selections until after voting :)

As far as alternates, yes, we provide options for 1-3 alternates, depending on tracks. That number will also be visible in your selection tool.

Cheers!
Jimmy

Jimmy,
Do we have any guidance on total slots per track?
Expect that track chairs have freedom on full presentations, lightning talks and panels as long as they fit into allotted time slots.
But want to check.

Finally,
Do we have one conditional/backup acceptance in case one of the accepted ones fell thru?

Thanks,
Arkady

Why is the email step required at all? If it's vendor-heavy or pushing a particular product, give thumbs down and move on.

James,

If you feel it's specifically a vendor pitch, feel free to send an email to speakersupport at openstack.org<mailto:speakersupport at openstack.org> and we can review. The Foundation does not support single vendor pitches, and of course, the content cannot be about closed source products.

Cheers!
Jimmy
