Open Stack

Hey guys, thanks for this discussion.  I think it's great and I'm learning a lot and thinking a lot about the tasks in front of us.  I really wish we could get more of this kind of back and forth in other parts of the community.  It could really help n00bies and refocus the oldtimers on the underlying foundations of the community.  I think this is cool.

Are people thinking they will be bound by any sort of +1/-1 on the
talks? I don't think that's the case, just as we as track chairs are
not bound by any community voting (I personally don't even pay
attention to the community voting at all). Our job is to put together
an engaging track of talks and presentations. I don't think we should
let the tool get in our way here, but rather use it for it is: simply
a tool to help sort through the talks and select the ones to make the
best track for which we're the chair for.
