Hi Everyone -

If you recently had trouble logging in, the problem will likely have been one of the following:

* You were previously a track chair
* You have 2 OpenStack accounts and the wrong one is associated with Track Chairs tool

If you have had trouble logging in, please give it one more shot. If it still doesn't work, email speakersupport at openstack.org<mailto:speakersupport at openstack.org> and create a new ticket and we'll take a look right away.

Thanks!
Jimmy

Hello Track Chairs,

It's time for Part One of the track chair process.

You have between now and this Sunday, July 24th at 11:59pm PDT / July 25th at 6:59am UTC to complete this part. See the timeline below for reference.

During this time we ask you to:

  1. Review the submissions within your specific track and identify any that need to be moved into another track category by clicking the "Suggest Category Change" button.

  2. Flag any talks that are obvious test submissions and need to be removed. Note this by making a comment and sending an email to speakersupport at openstack.org<mailto:speakersupport at openstack.org> with a link to the presentation.

  3. Include comments on any sessions that you want to flag for more discussion later during the selection process. *ONLY* track chairs will be able to view your comments. Speakers and submitters cannot see your comments.

If you were unable to attend the webinar, here is the video recording<https://youtu.be/qJkTui7jmeM> for your reference. This includes a walk thru of how to use the Track Chair tool.

After you've watched the video you may access the Track Chair tool: www.openstack.org/track-chairs/<http://www.openstack.org/track-chairs/>

Log in with your email address and the password that you've set for the OpenStack website. If you need to reset your password, you can do that here<https://www.openstack.org/Security/lostpassword>. If you have any login issues please contact speakersupport at openstack.org<mailto:speakersupport at openstack.org?subject=>.

As a reminder, the submission review process has two parts:

Part One: July 20th-24th

Reviewing/moving session submissions before voting opens (2-4 hours)

Part Two: August 10-21st

Final track sessions decisions (8 hours)

Contacting your fellow track chairs:
The email addresses and track names for all track chairs are listed here: https://www.openstack.org/track-chairs/directory

Full Timeline

July 20-24: Track Chairs review submissions and potentially move sessions to other tracks if they are a better fit BEFORE community voting begins (we will be scheduling a recorded webinar for July 18th on how to use the tool)

July 26-August 8: Session voting open to the community

August 10-21: Track Chairs receive and review proposals and discuss choices

August 21: Track Chairs submit final session selections via administrative tool

August 25: Foundation staff notifies all submitters whether or not their session was accepted into the final Summit agenda

August 25: Breakout session agenda published

We'll be in touch later next week with another tutorial video and detailed steps on Part Two when you will use the track chair administrative tool to make your individual and team selections.

Cheers,
The OpenStack Summit Team
