Now that the solidfire driver has switched from httplib to requests in
the current development cycle (see https://review.openstack.org/127399
for details) would it be possible to switch certificate validation on
for it prior to the Kilo release, or do we need to wait for Liberty?

  AFAICT HTTPSConnection does not validate server certificates and
