Arguably in both cases the hypervisor is qemu. When virt_type=kvm
we simply enable some additional acceleration.

So rather than asking "Are you using qemu or kvm?", it would be
more accurate to ask "Are you using hardware-accelerated qemu or
just software emulation?".
